Introducing Treetops Merino Nuance colors-- A uniquely coloured, machine crafted range of wool tops that reflect the subtle shadings found in nature. Only the softest superfine (18.5 micron) merino wool top is chosen for dying with this distinct process. Special care has also been taken to reduce any excessive processing of the wool to insure a superb handle.
Silk Tops are fibers processed by cleaning, carding, and combing. Short fibers, neps, and noils are removed and all the remaining long fibers are aligned parallel to each other. Worsted fiber can be spun from tops. Silk tops can also used by feltmakers to decorate their work with to make a lustrous and colorful final product. Sample Projects
